A little about Olivia..
A self taught soft furnishing maker from Buckinghamshire. Has a love for fabrics, texture and colour. Likes being outdoors, walking the dog and a new found love for gardening! But, most importantly is the person who is behind all the different soft furnishings on this page.
How it all started..
Every journey begins with a story. I started off doing a textile’s class at school where I made my first cushion cover. Fast forward a few years, as a family we moved house and when the curtains were being made, mum asked for the off-cuts back so I could make some cushion covers…. at this point I hadn’t used a sewing machine in 5 or so years and definitely couldn’t remember how to wind the bobbin up! After a slow start, I finally got going and started on mum’s new cushion covers.
I have always been an incredibly creative person and at the time of starting using my sewing machine, I was in an accounting job, so it felt like my creative outlet from work!.. Little did I know it would turn into my passion and work.
The Story..
For my 21st Birthday I got given a ‘roman blind making course’. Its safe to say I loved this and it has gone from there. I learnt the basics on this course and then practiced lots, making blinds for my parents house and family friends. From here it grew and I had people asking if I could make curtains. After lots of research I taught myself how to make curtains, the first set being a pair of lined pinch pleat curtains for my parents spare bedroom (these are still up today!!). I have learnt so much over the years and made plenty of mistakes but from these.
From starting in a spare bedroom, and to moving into my workroom it has meant I can expand my fabric collection range and be able to obtain nearly any fabric you require. Having more room makes it easier for bigger makes, and having more space to hang and dress the soft furnishings ready for the installation.
The Ambition..
There is nothing more I love than to create beautiful soft furnishings for your home and to see you happy with the finished product. Curtains and blinds can completely change a room and I love being part of that process. I am always wanting to expand my range of fabric books so there is more choice for the client. You will always have my full attention at every step of the way, as I feel that’s when you get a true bespoke experience when the same person has helped you choose the fabric, makes the window dressings and then be a part of the installation too.

“They are amazing, thank you.”
